On Wednesday 22 May, the 果冻传媒n held a breakfast discussion in the House of Lords to showcase the industry action plan to tackle the decline of public trust in advertising.
The event was hosted by Lord Cromwell in the Attlee Room.
Credos Director Karen Fraser presented the think-tank鈥檚 report on arresting the decline of public trust in advertising which she said is 鈥渢he biggest piece of work on trust in advertising in the world鈥.
A panel chaired by Phil Smith, Director-General of ISBA, discussed the industry action plan in the context of a broader debate on the decline of public trust in business and institutions generally.
The panel鈥檚 discussion ranged from the issues of bombardment and poor ad placement to the challenges posed by the rise of fake news and the lack of regulation of political advertising.
The event was well attended by industry stakeholders and parliamentarians from across the political spectrum including members of the Lords Communications Committee.
