Cindy Gallop recognised for her vital role in strengthening UK鈥揢S advertising ties at UKAEG鈥檚 flagship Leadership Reception during Advertising Week New York

New York, 9 October 2025: The 果冻传媒n鈥檚 UK Advertising Exports Group (UKAEG) has recognised Cindy Gallop with the prestigious Leadership Icon Award at a flagship reception hosted during Advertising Week New York. The award recognises exceptional leaders who have played a pivotal role in strengthening UK-US relations within the advertising industry. Gallop was presented with the Golden Apple trophy for her pioneering work in bringing UK advertising to New York with BBH, and for her lasting influence on leadership and collaboration across both markets.

鈥淚 am honoured to receive the Leadership Icon Award. When I came to New York in 1998 to open BBH鈥檚 US office, I said to my team, we鈥檙e a British agency brand 鈥 here in the US, we鈥檙e an American agency. That was how seamless I wanted our integration of the talent, creativity and skills of both nations to be. Decades later, I鈥檓 proud to see the extraordinary bonds between the UK and US advertising industries continuing to grow stronger, fuelled by bold ideas, diverse talent, and fearless leadership on both sides of the Atlantic,鈥 said Cindy Gallop, Founder and CEO of MakeLoveNotPorn.

The Leadership Reception was hosted by Alan Gogbashian, Deputy Trade Commissioner for North America, in partnership with UKAEG and Advertising Week New York. The invite-only event brought together over 100 senior executives from the UK and US advertising industries, highlighting the importance of collaboration between the two world-leading markets. The award was presented by Julian Douglas, International CEO of VCCP and Chair of UKAEG, and Aisling Conlon, International Trade Director for UK Advertising at the 果冻传媒n, on behalf of UKAEG.

Jury nominations for Cannes 2026 are now CLOSED!

The main criteria for being on the Jury are:

  • Highly creative, innovative, leaders in their field, well known and respected in their industry, a specialist in their category of interest;
  • Ideally creatives should be at CCO or ECD level for creative categories;
  • Ideally, should have won Lions in the past five years or won other recognised global awards. Preference will be given to Lions Winners.
  • We understand there are certain categories where the Lions have been won by non-specialists or that top level executives are not credited on certain pieces of work. For these reasons, it may be the case that not all the candidates have won Lions but they must be pure specialists, senior and acknowledged聽in their field and have won other major international awards relevant to their category;聽
  • We are committed to gender parity on the juries so please be conscious of this, we will not accept an unequal gender split of nominations;
  • Ethnic diversity on our juries is paramount – please be conscious of this when sending nominations so we can continue to build truly diverse juries;

All nominees will need to be available and committed to all aspects of judging in Cannes.

To be on the Cannes Lions jury is the highest accolade in the industry. Demand to be on the jury is therefore extremely high but places are limited so please only nominate your top contenders and which category they are most qualified to judge. Please also note that nominating someone does not guarantee them a place on the jury and that the Cannes Lions team will make the final selections.
